Advice to Bidders and Conditions of Sale

Mail Bidders
This is a public auction which will include postal bids. Postal and telephone bids close at 12 noon on Friday, 16th September 2005.
The purchaser is the highest bidder. We will accept your bids by post, fax or phone until the closing time. After this time, no further bids will be accepted and any lots not receiving bids will be returned to the vendors.
Lots will be sold at 10% above the second highest postal bid. For example, if you bid $60 for a lot and another person bids $50, you will win the bidding at $55. (We only use as much as we need to, in order to secure the item for you.) When two bids are received for the same price, we must accept the first bid received.
All bidders will be advised the results of their bidding and invoices will be sent to successful purchasers. If you would like to give your credit card details when you place your bid, this will speed up delivery. Because we dispatch in order of receipt of payment, credit card purchasers will receive their goods before those paying by cheque or money order.
We accept payment by Cash, Cheque, Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa Card or Money Order.
All goods are dispatched as soon as possible after payment, but please allow 21 days for delivery. We use Australia Post. Goods are professionally packed in airbubble wrap and boxed with styrene foam beads. All packing and postage costs to be paid by the purchaser. Overseas purchases will be dispatched by Australia Post economy airmail unless instructed otherwise. All overseas parcels are insured in transit.
All items are sold with a money back guarantee. If not completely satisfied, purchasers have the right of return within 7 days of receipt if unhappy.
All care is taken to describe goods as accurately as possible and estimates given are in our opinion realistic appraisals of value on today's market. Most items offered for sale do not have reserves, however in our experience, most items realise prices between these estimates.

Any bidder who fails to pay for goods invoiced will be automatically disqualified from bidding at any future auctions which we hold.
Please note that a 12.5% Buyers Premium applies to all goods purchased at this auction. This buyer's premium includes GST.
When making your bid we understand that it includes GST. Overseas clients note: GST does not apply.

Auctioneer's Terms and Conditions of Sale to Floor Bidders
Conditions of Sale: Payment to be made on the day of sale. Cash, cheque or credit card.
The purchaser to be the highest bidder. Any dispute arising as to the highest bidder to be determined by the Auctioneer who may re-offer any disputed item. The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid or bid on behalf of clients.
Whilst every care is taken, the Auctioneer does not accept responsibility for items described incorrectly either in the catalogue or at auction. Intending purchasers are advised to take advantage of the time given to view goods prior to auction commencement.
The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any default of the purchaser or vendor or liable for loss or damage to goods left in his care by vendors or purchasers.
Right of return applies to mail bidders only. All sales to floor buyers are final. Please utilise viewing time available prior to sale.
Floor bidders must register on the day. If paying by cheque a driver's licence must be shown. Bidders' numbers will not be allocated without name and address being supplied.
A bidder will be deemed to be a principal unless prior to bidding he/she has given to the auctioneer a written authority to bid for and on behalf of another. In this situation floor bidders terms and conditions will apply.

Overseas clients please note: A 2.5% insurance fee will be charged on the value of all items being posted overseas. This fee will cover any breakages or parcels which may go missing in transit. Clients who do not wish to pay this insurance fee will have their purchases posted at their own risk. There is no additional special insurance fee for Australian clients.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS PAYING BY CREDIT CARD
In the past we have tried to absorb the 2.5% bank fees charged to us for all credit card transactions.
Because of increased overall costs we regret that this is no longer possible and advise that a 2.5% fee will be charged on the total of any account settled by credit card.
This applies only to purchasers settling their account by credit card. If you pay by cash, cheque or money order no surcharge will apply.
